Futurama Brickcraft Box 003 Zoidberg Review

The Dr. Zoidberg BOX! is a quick, fan‑service build that hits the spot for anyone who wants a small, recognizable Futurama piece without the time commitment of a larger set. Part of the Brickcraft BOX! lineup, it’s designed to be compact and stack with the other BOX! lineup builds for easy storage and display.

Price and Value (4/5)

At 180 pieces and 20 dollars, the set works out to about 11.1 cents per piece, which is a bit on the higher side for a small build. It’s still competitive with other small licensed or collectible style kits, but it’s not quite the same value as some of the cheaper quick builds out there.

With this set, you’re mostly paying for the license and the display‑friendly box format. Value per piece, it lands somewhere in the middle, but only you can decide if the price is right.

Build Experience (5/5)

The total build time is around 20 minutes, which makes this a great option when you’re in the mood to build something but don’t have a lot of time. The steps are straightforward, there’s no stickers, and the whole thing feels like a quick, satisfying session rather than a commitment. I did have issues getting the backdrop piece into place, and found it was easier to do it opposite of what the directions recommended for getting it in place.

WOW Factor (2.5/5)

As a Futurama fan I enjoy having Zoidberg on the shelf, but he’s not reshaping the display or wowing anyone in terms of design. The build is cute and recognizable, but it doesn’t push the envelope on construction, detail, or creativity, so the WOW factor lands on the lower side.

As a standalone piece, it’s more of a fun little nod to the show than a standout centerpiece. That said, it still works well if you’re collecting the BOX! series and want consistent, stackable display pieces.

Final Thoughts

I like the overall idea of the box line, and I’m still looking to grab Baby Bender to round out the grouping. If you’re a Futurama fan who enjoys small, low‑stress builds and likes the stackable box concept, this is an easy pickup even if it’s not the most exciting piece you’ll ever display.
